Mishal’s house is now being rehabilitated with the support of UNDP’s Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS), which is supporting the rehabilitation of ten thousand homes across West Mosul, helping displaced families return home. <br />

In order to avoid being seen and targeted while moving between houses, ISIS militants built tunnels and broke through walls to create hidden passages between buildings. <br />
